District Partners

Each school district has chosen 1-2 staff members to act as liaisons between POPEY and the school district. These District Partners are familiar with the POPEY mandate and supports. District Partners inform their primary colleagues about POPEY’s website and resources, as well as promote POPEY’s online and face-to-face workshops. 

POPEY recognizes the valuable expertise of these professionals, who include Directors of Instruction, District Principals, Early Learning Coordinators, and Special Education Teachers, who act as liaisons with POPEY. District Partners meet with the POPEY team 2-3 times a year for networking and collaboration opportunities. The network of District Partners is a province-wide forum for sharing information and for supporting best practice in literacy instruction and inclusive classroom practices for all learners.
