Monica Collins took her primary students on a field trip to a local garden. They were so inspired that the students co-authored a poem about the garden and their experiences.

Monica created a visual representation of the poem as a gift for her students.

In Our Garden - by Div. 2

In our garden... I am the king of trees.

In our garden... the water rushes like a bunch of kids rushing to get somewhere.

In our garden... it's relaxing like a Tesla on autopilot.

In our garden... the water makes the rocks wet, so they can't dry.

In our garden... the apple tree is growing gems.

In our garden... we grow knowledge.

In our garden... water rushes like a drum beating.

In our garden... I can make the grass move.

In our garden... we grow like the plants.

In our garden... it makes me think of home.

In our garden... we grow like the plants.

In our garden... rocks are as smooth as silk, almost like milk.

In our garden... the weather is perfect all the time.

In our garden... the garden grows like a climbing vine.

In our garden... I am the king of the creek.

In our garden... things are not always as they seem.
